If an elector is required to confirm he still resides at his registered address as contained in the register of electors following the receipt of a letter from Home Affairs Department / the Electoral Registration Officer, the elector may be required to provide original or photocopy of proof of the registered address according to the information as mentioned in the letter. In case the elector has no address proof, the Registration and Electoral Office will also accept the address proof of another person who lives with the elector. In such case, a declaration made by the elector is required to certify that such other person is living with the elector at the same address. In addition, the elector also needs to certify that the attached address proof is a complete authentic copy or a complete true copy of the original. The elector can also provide a statutory declaration made before a Commissioner for Oaths/a practising solicitor/a Justice of the Peace to substantiate the claim of residing at the registered address. The elector may download a sample of the relevant declaration or statutory declaration as follows. | |||||||||||||
